Reconciliation Consulting was founded by Dr. George & Sherelyn Yancey in 1996 upon release of Dr. Yancey's first book, Beyond Black and White: Reflections on Racial Reconciliation. Radio interviews, seminars for pastors, and requests for consultation on how to implement racial reonciliation among faith communities and families followed. Whether you are just beginning to generate a vision for racial dialogue or you would like to take the next step, we can assess your specific congregation or ministry needs to help you accomplish your goals. Dr. Yancey is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of North Texas specializing in race/ethnicity and multiracial families. He is the author of a variety of research articles and was a co-investigator of " Multiracial Congregations and Their People " - the first major sociological examination of multiracial churches. Sherelyn Yancey is co-author of two journal articles with Dr. Yancey regarding interracial romantic relationships. She is designer of the unique Interracial Families Calendar which features real-life pictures of multiracial singles, couples, and kids along with significant dates in multicultural American history.
