Dr. George Yancey, an African-American professor of sociology and author of Beyond Black and White, One Body One Spirit, and Beyond Racial Gridlock  has spoken at many churches, conferences and workshops. He has given plenary talks at conferences such as Christian Community Development Association, Ethnic Workers Summit, Spencer Perkins Center Faculty Development Institution on Race and Reconciliation, and Mosaix. He is blessed with a gift of reaching out to those of different races in a way in which they can hear him without encouraging anger or inducing guilt. Sherelyn Yancey is an accomplished teacher, especially in the areas of the history of race relations and interracial relationships. She and Dr. Yancey often have spoken together as it concerns interracial relationships, which offers a powerful illustration of racial reconciliation. 

RC can address a wide variety of topics. We speak on issues of:
 *  why we need multiracial churches
 *  principles of successful multiracial churches
 *  challenges of forming multiracial churches
 *  Christian interracial dating and marriage
 *  models of racial healing
 *  what we learned about racial reconciliation through       
     our interracial marriage. 
 *  models of racial healing
 *  developing a biblical  respect for other cultures
 *  lessons of reconciliation from the Woman at the Well.
In addition, we can also design new talks to meet your specific needs.

We require that our travel expenses (e.g. meals, lodging, air fare, car rental, parking) are met and that you provide a volunteer to help sell our books at your event. Beyond these expenses we are willing to speak based upon the honorarium you offer. An additional honorarium is expected if more than one talk is provided.
