Since using a
consultant requires
time and money that can be spent elsewhere it is wise to think about
whether hiring one is feasible right now. Since
using a consultant requires time and money that can be spent
elsewhere, it is wise to think through about whether hiring a
consultant is
feasible. I do not promise magical solutions. But I can offer your
organization a valuable service that is worth that time
and money. Here are some reasons why you should
consider hiring
Reconciliation
Consulting (RC) to meet some of the needs of your church or Christian
organization.
1) EXPERTISE IN THE AREA OF RACIAL DIVERSITY - I am one of the few experts in the subject of diversity in the Christian church. I not only read the cutting edge and latest research in this field, but have conducted much of that work. Beyond academic expertise I also have a great deal of experience examining a variety of multiracial churches. I have seen a lot of different ways these organizations have been able to succeed in attracting people of different races. So I am not locked into only one or two techniques, but can pull from a wide variety of methods that can enhance your church's or ministry's chances of success. 2) OUR OUTSIDE PERSPECTIVE - Often it is hard to see all of the issues in a given situation because of the bias we bring to those situations. Sometimes the disagreements that come from trying to decide the direction of a ministry can harden the opinions of the church members. When RC comes to your organization, it is good to know that it does not have a dog in the fight. RC is only interested in finding the best solutions for your church or religious organization. This outsider perspective will also help me to look beyond the current issues in your church or religious organization to see solutions that may be outside the box. 3) TO ENERGIZE OR LEGITIMATE NEEDED CHANGES - Sometimes organizational change is necessary, but the current members of the organization are comfortable with the status quo. As a Christian leader you can use our report to motivate your congregation to make needed changes. Having a report that concurs with the need for change often helps you gain more support for the decision to move your church or Christian organization in the right direction. My final report will be objective and does not agree with a pastor or leader merely because we are hired, however if the report does concur with that pastor/leader's ideas then he/she will have a powerful tool to aid you in motivating your congregation or organization. 4) TO GAIN NEW IDEAS - It becomes to easy to get stuck in our old conceptual ruts and not perceive possible new ideas. My consulting work is likely to generate novel ideas that you have thought about in your quest to reach those of different races. My experience working with a variety of other Christian organizations and our expertise in developing racial diversity in Christian organizations provides us knowledge of novel ways to achieve racial diversity. I will be more than happy to share that knowledge with you. 5) AN AFFORDABLE PRICE - You will get a complete breakdown of the costs of our work before we agree to do a job. I will do everything we can to keep the price down. But please feel free to compare our costs to other consulting firms. Because I do not have a large overhead I can generally do the work that other consulting firms do for a lower price. 6) TO LEARN MORE ABOUT YOUR CHURCH OR CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION - When you hire RC to do consulting you will gain our full sociological expertise. The techniques we use allows me to learn a great deal about your congregation/ministry and the people in it. I will eagerly share the knowledge we gain so that you will possess more information about your church. Such knowledge will be critical as you plan the future direction of your church or religious organization. 7) CHRISTIAN CHARACTER - Because RC is a Christian company we understand the people in your congregation or Christian organizations much better than secular consulting firms. I am quite knowledgeable about the general goals of Christian organizations. This knowledge actually will help me advise you since we can relate to your goals to use or develop your multiracial ministry to advance the Kingdom of God. I too look to advance His Kingdom and are very happy to help you achieve this goal.
