healing
through the body of Christ. To this end we have developed a variety of

Dr. Yancey is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of North Texas specializing in race/ethnicity and multiracial families. He is the author of a variety of research articles and was a co-investigator of " Multiracial Congregations and Their People " - the first major sociological examination of multiracial churches. He is also the author of One Body, One Spirit: Principles of Successful Multiracial Churches, a book that outlines ways churches create racially diverse congregations and Beyond Racial Gridlock: Embracing Mutual Responsibility, a book that deals the development of a Christian based solution to the problem of racism. He is widely recognized as an expert on multiracial ministry. Sherelyn Yancey is co-author of two journal articles with Dr. Yancey regarding interracial romantic relationships. She also has engaged in research concerning the historical racism that has been a part of the United States. She also has a great deal of experience engaging in qualitiative research and communicating with people from a variety of racial groups. Both George and Sherelyn Yancey co-edited Just Don't Marry One: Interracial Dating, Marriage and Parenting, a book that aims to help both seekers and leaders understand the unique dynamics surrounding multiracial families. Written from a biblical perspective by authors of various racial identities and multiracial backgrounds, this groundbreaking work weaves together the personal and professional perspectives of racially diverse Christian leaders as they confront this emotionally charged issue. Both George and Sherelyn are committed evangelical Christians who are sensitive to the racial problems that plague our society. They both are capable public speakers who can communicate important concepts to large groups and each have many years of experience in dealing with racism in the church and in our society.
